The 10 mm shank, 70 × 24 µm cross-section, 175 µm tip, 960 sites, 12 × 12 µm site footprint, checkerboard layout and 16 / 20 µm column / row pitches follow the manufacturer’s 2020 Neuropixels 1.0 datasheet. These are nominal values, not a tolerance specification.
The first site centre is placed 200 µm from the tip; this absolute offset was not verified. Five grooves follow the appearance of the manufacturer’s SEM, but groove dimensions, contact relief, pore morphology, head details, gold-coloured metallurgy, trace routing and component placements are illustrative. The tip uses a symmetric straight 175 µm taper; its derived included angle is 22.62°, not an independently imposed 20°.
The reference assembly uses published package and flex envelopes. The drawing-matched head deliberately recreates the supplied AI illustration and is not a verified Neuropixels connector. The two variants share the same shank and electrode geometry. Site IDs are geometric identifiers, not a hardware channel map.
Every site has modeled grooves, shallow procedural relief and an embedded normal texture. The Pores inspection uses a separate high-resolution contact model, with 52,482 triangles. Neither its pore dimensions nor its porosity are measured. No buried CMOS layers or active electrical model are represented.
